JUST MY LUCK
Just My Luck: Escape to New Zealand #5
Also available in German: Abenteuer in Neuseeland!
A little distraction can be a wonderful thing.
Nate Torrance has a job to do, and the biggest rugby boots in the world to fill. He can’t afford to lose his focus, especially not to a brown-eyed Canadian who pushes all his buttons and looks much too good in a climbing harness.
Allison Villiers may not know what she wants to do with her life, but she’s clear about one thing. She’s not impressed by the new captain of the All Blacks, however big a deal he is to the rest of New Zealand. If only her unfortunate taste for adventure didn’t keep leading her astray . . .
Warning: This romance, like New Zealand, contains a fair bit of steam. If that isn’t your cuppa, you may want to visit some other country . . . er, book.
Woohoo! Can’t wait!! Amazon doesn’t have it up yet, but I’ll be looking for it.
Well done!!

Thanks, Mary! A few weeks to go, though. :( Not perfect yet (or as close as I can get it), and I want it to be. But I’m getting closer!
Owwww Owww! Cannot wait! Soon as its up on Goodreads will reccomend to the masses!
sorry recommend*
Thanks, Erin! I’ll take either. :)
I can hardly wait! This series is the BEST! I hate the thought of Drew retiring but I am anxious to meet Nate. Thanks for the opportunity to visit New Zealand again!
Thanks, Catherine! It gave me a wrench too (Drew retiring, I mean), but it posed such an interesting question: what’s it like to succeed a legend?–that I just had to write it and find out.
Can’t wait to read this one. Drew left some pretty big shoes to fill and that’s got to be intimidating, can’t wait to meet Nate and see how he does!
Well, *I* like it. Oh, wait. I have to. Hope you do too!
very excited to learn there’s a 5th book coming, and soon! I just finished the 4th and was sad about being done! what’s most exciting is the next one features a Canadian, like me! hah. your series is great, and has made me really want to go visit new Zealand! one day :)
Thank you! I think Ally “represents” pretty well; hope you do too!
After having just discovered this series and reading them all in the span of 1 week, I cannot WAIT for this fifth book! These books have me staying up much too late. I wake up and start reading before coffee even! What I love the most is learning about NZ in the process! So glad I discovered you Rosalind!
Wow, before coffee! I’m impressed! This book has me up writing before coffee too, so hopefully it’ll do as much for you. :) Thanks for the kind words.
I was thinking about ‘re-reading the series today and now that I know the 5th book is about to release I’m going to start after dinner tonight. I love your books!
Thank you so much! I’m finishing up the editing on “Just My Luck.” I’ve loved writing this one–hope you like to too!
I have to tell you these are up there on my top favorites of all time reads (of course next to fifty shades) lol! I have enjoyed them all so much in different ways. Stayed up way to late at night cause I just couldn’t wait to keep reading. I really hope u continue this series, as I can’t even imagine them getting old. So :) to have found you and them.
Wow! Thank you so much. That kinda makes my day. :) I hope you enjoy “Just My Luck”!
I am so excited to see that there is going to be a fifth book!!! Please keep them coming, and please keep mentioning the older characters in the new books. I love it when they pop onto the scene, letting us know how they are, and continuing their story in a small way. I never want these books to end, and the recurring characters lets them keep going I to happily ever after! I have read the first four in order now about 4 times since I found you a couple of months ago. Please continue this New Zealand series!… Read more »
I’m so flattered that you have re-read them. Thank you! I’ll keep writing them as long as I feel like I still have an interesting story to tell. I really appreciate your taking the trouble to write.
Kia Ora Rosalind!
I am in LOVE with this series! One of my friends who knows how much I love NZ and the hot rugby boys told me that I had to read them. I literally could not put them down! I have travelled most of NZ and even had an encounter with one of the rugby boys ;), so these books remind me so much of my amazing travels out there!! I cant wait for Saturday to read #5!!! Will it be available through Amazon on Saturday? Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Now you KNOW I want to know about the “encounter”! I appreciate it. Yes, it should be available Saturday morning, depending on the Amazon Gods.
I am very glad a fifth book is coming out soon. I just re-read the first four and am hoping to find out if Emma got the job with Hannah’s company. I would also love to read a prequel about Hemi and Reka someday. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I’m getting very excited to publish it!
Hi Rosalind,
I just cannot wait to get “”Just My Luck””, really anxious -that July 13th seem forever.
So love the series, and have read all four in the series over and over , love them all but Drew and Hannah have a special place in my heart. Hope they are in book 5.
When can I purchase it through Amazon Kindle?
Congrats and the kincaid iseries is lovable. Good luck and continuing success, and thanks so much for the great reads.
Thank you! I’ll be pushing “Publish” on the morning of the 12th, in hopes that it’ll be available on the morning of the 13th. (It’s all up to Amazon; it’s supposed to take 12 hours max, but the last book took 19!)
Thanks for the kind words about Drew & Hannah, too. I wrote the first book (MY first book) because I wanted so badly to tell their story, and they still have a special place in my heart as well.
I love this series. I have re read them over and over. If I had them on paperback I’m certain the books will look very well used. I can’t help it…sigh…I’m in love with Finn. Don’t blame me blame it on the book. :-) he just gets right under my skin. Gotta love a big strapping manly man. Keep writing these books, I’m so excited for #5 I can’t wait. Love the Kincaids as well, more of them please… :-)
Aww . . . Thank you! I’ll admit, I fall in love with every one of “my guys” while I’m writing their stories!
Love your books Rosalind! Very addicting. I was pulled right into the story and fell in love with the characters, just like I did with the first four. I am only sad that now I have to wait for the next one. I guess I’ll just keep re-reading them. You are a delightful storyteller and I look forward to reading many more of your fine tales.
Thank you! It’s always a nervous time when you put a new book out, so I really appreciate your writing to tell me you liked it!
Hello Rosalind. I have enjoyed all your stories immensely. I have all of them and will continue to reread them. I am just sad that now I will have to wait for the next one is out. I hope you type fast!
Sorry, I missed a few of these comments! Thank you so much. I appreciate it!
Soooo incredibly happy to see “Just My Luck”. I was about to re-read the series when I decided to check if you had an upcoming Kincaids book. This just made my night because the Escape to New Zealand series is one of my all time favorites. Only downside? It’s midnight and I know I won’t be getting any sleep tonight as I read your latest!!! Keep them coming!!!! :)
Sorry, I missed a few of these comments! Thank you so much. I appreciate it!
Hi Rosalind,
What A nice surprise to find this book today. I love your stories and can wait to read this one. It is because of them that I am planning a trip to New Zealand, can wait to visit all the places you mention in the series. Please keep writing such great stories, the latinos also love you. Hugs from Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
Wow! What a nice surprise to hear that! Thank you! And I’m sure you’ll love New Zealand. It really is special.
Hey Rosalind, I am a very proud Kiwi who loves my country! What I love most about this book, is you totally get just how much us Kiwi’s LOVE and idolise the All Blacks. They are like the Royal Family to us! I also love how you describe our amazing home! Its an incredible country! Thank you so much for expressing to the world just how cool Aotaeroa is! Kia Kaha!!!
Wow! Thanks! do try to capture the way I feel about NZ–and the way Kiwis feel about it, as best I know how. It makes me so happy that you think I succeeded. Thank you!I
I enjoyed this series so much! I think I read all 5 in about a week. I knew nothing about NZ or Rugby (imagine my surprise when I youtubed Haka and the All Blacks popped up on my screen;) ) but your books just suck you right in to their world. Wonderful easy reads- a perfect way to wind down at the end of a long day! Can’t wait for the next one’s.

Hi Rosalind–I have already rated and reviewed many of the books in your New Zealand series–they are very believable characters that gain your interest immediately—also your descriptions of the sport of Rugby was completely unknown to me, until I I started reading your books—I always dreamed of living in Australia–I almost convinced my husband that we should move there, when we first married, but chickened out–I have changed my mind since reading your books, and if I moved or visited anywhere, it would definitely be New Zealand. I got your e-mail about reading your new books, but I’m not sure… Read more »
Hi, Bernice. Thanks for the kind words! The person to contact about a spot on the ARC team is Mary Guidry. (Fill in the symbols as in a regular email address): Mj4rosalindjames[at]outlook[dot]com. I think she has a full slate now, but she can definitely add you to the waiting list, if so.
